Q: Can I bill for therapeutic procedures performed by trainees?
A: Yes, but specific rules apply. Therapeutic procedures may be provided by Specialist Trainees TN.1.20 under the following conditions:
- Scope: Applies to MBS items 13015 to 51318, with some notable exclusions.
- Details: Procedures are billable when performed by a specialist trainee under direct supervision.
- Important: Direct supervision means personal and continuous attendance by the supervising practitioner.
